In recent years, there has been a surge in the number of predatory journals that publish low-quality research without proper peer review. These journals often charge high publication fees without providing adequate editorial or peer review services, and can cause serious harm to the academic community by disseminating misinformation and low-quality research. As a researcher, it's important to be able to recognize predatory journals and avoid submitting your work to them...

It may not be popular to publish a book review because most academics focus on writing original research papers, book chapters, and review papers. A book review is light and relatively simple to write. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to prepare a book review manuscript.
As a part of collaboration, ILMI supported a research team from Sekolah Ilmu dan Teknologi Hayati (SITH) by providing a series of electrospinning workshops. It was held from August to September 2022 at ILMI Lab. The team from SITH delegated a student—in frame: Imelda Magdalena (Rekayasa Hayati 2018)—to attend the training to operate the electrospinning device, ILMI-N101.
The MRS-id Meeting 2022 in Malang has ended. ILMI delegated six presenters to disseminate the research outcomes. They were Aan, Efa, Riris, Yadi—who presented the nanofiber development research—, William, and Mara—who delivered the hydrogel development research. Fortunately, one of those presenters, Riris, had an award as best presenter.
While delivering the opening remarks of the 4th MRS-id meeting in Malang on September 28, 2022, Prof. Khairurrijal reminded the audience of the importance of collaboration. Collaborations are crucial in order to enhance both the quantity and quality of research. Not only between individuals in the lab, but also between laboratories, institutes, universities, and even countries.
An early view photograph taken by Aan. ILMI representations have arrived at Malang. Six ILMI presenters will attend the 4th MRS-id meeting in Malang (28-29 September 2022).
For almost two years—since November 2020—Yadi has been working at ILMI as a master student researcher. He is impressed by the lab's atmosphere, in which each member is treated equally, avoiding inferior feelings. Being in the lab is like being in a warm family.
Marathur Rodhiyah, aka Mara, a M.Sc. student, joined ILMI in January 2022. She stated that she got interested in ILMI due to a promotion from a senior before she finally proposed to join us. She had an enjoyable atmosphere during her involvement because of the meaningful support and assistance from colleagues and supervisors, respectively.
If you are interested in materials and instrumentation, especially nanofibers and hydrogels development research for numerous purposes and related topics, then you can join us by following the directions here.
On August 26, 2022, we finally began our face-to-face progress report meeting. After being kept indoors and having strictly social distance, we finally felt the ambience of an offline meeting on campus. We could share and discuss anything related to the research's progress "in more real and live ways." We are hoping that this pandemic will end completely and we can have a normal life back entirely.
Thank you for joining us! Mr. Yuan A. Sihombing. We are thrilled to have you here and look forward to hearing your ideas. We believe that your participation will strengthen our lab.
